“Lle desiel?” (Are you ready?)
When she heard the voice, she was standing still and her eyes constant like she could see far beyond the forest. She only turned her gazes to see the owner of the voice once. Others must have been ready to leave.
“Lle merna aut?” (Shall we go?)
Reiven paused just for a moment then answered him with her soft melodic voice “Lle auta yeste’” (You go first)
Other Elf didn’t like the answer and his eyes get darkened “Mani naa ta?” (What’s the matter?)
“What the matter is” she thought. The Rohirrim who are living near the river band didn’t show up after elves warned them about the coming attack. They were just a group of horsemen family living in quiet and peace. The coming darkness smashes them with no question.
The glint that reflects inside the eyes of her apparent and her answer is simple “Amin dele ten’ sen” (I’m worried about them).
After a short meeting some elves agreed to go on their way to protect the man kind who came to the meeting and some volunteered to go back.
The Rohirrim lived long away from the darkness of Sauron and they have forgotten its illness. Even though they warned about the coming catastrophe, were late to come into action. After elves left their settlement their evil tidings melt away with the new rising sun. When the evil hearted henchmen of Sauron came behind the mountains they were just remembered the sayings of the Elves “If you wait for your men to come, you’ll only become miserable. None will be left alive to wait their return….”
Before elves seen the attack they saw the black smoke rising towards the blue sky. Although they knew what they are going to be find, don’t hesitate for a moment.
Elves are outnumbered but being in the forest fastens their way and trees hide their presence. May be it’s the will of Valar or fate. Elves reached the settlement just before the rear guards butchery…
That bloody day elves able to save a handful of men life and same day Reiven holds hands of a little girl for the first time.
That’s the story of how Reiven and Berweuli met and how their paths crossed.
