I hate to admit it at such an early stage, but… I actually like this place. I have spotted people fighting and appearing generally rude and unfriendly, but all in all everyone has been treating me really nicely. Everyone who hears that I am new in town is very welcoming, people offer to be of assistance if needed, etcetera…
Oh and I met some of Belle’s friends, a lovely old couple (I feel rude saying old, but... Old-er?) who had been part of searching for me. For that matter, I believe Belle is struggling not to go back to her guardian ways. That, or she just does not care anymore? I would not know, to be honest. But as far as I can see, I believe this is her attempt to let me live my own life here… I am sure she would not hesitate to butt in and drag me out of trouble if I end up in any though. I would never tell her, but knowing that is such a relief. Makes it easier for me to just do whatever I want and not have to worry… I just hope she will not take over everything mother used to do? For me, for both of us, the house and everything… I am not sure how much I can help her with some things, and I have to admit… Mother was a strong woman taking care of everything – including two daughters – on her own. Plus, I am sure Belle is looking to meet a man and have her own children at some point, and not continuously look after me…
