The Entirely True Tale of Glaursmaug the Cold-hearted

Greetings everyone! Today I shall present to you the tale of how I outwitted a dragon and saved spring! And I assure you, this tale is entirely true and I am not making it up right now! Well, let us begin! Our tale begins in the frozen, barren lands of Forochel. Have you ever asked yourself why such a land is so frozen and barren? Well, that is because it was cursed by a cold-drake! A cold-drake known as Glaursmaug the Cold-hearted! Many centuries ago, Glaursmaug plundered a Dwarven mine in Forochel, hoarding all of its vast silver supplies to himself! And as he drove all the Dwarves out and stole all the silver, the surrounding lands that were once full of forests and all manner of wildlife became frozen and barren, covered in an eternal blanket of snow and despair! It was the Desolation of Glaursmaug! Well, many years passed, and my kin continued to mine for silver in the frozen hills of Forochel in the shadow of old Glaursmaug. And being a foolish and greedy bastard myself, I was doing some helping with this mining myself! No amount of snow and despair is going to get in the way of my profits! That being said, I was doing some prospecting, exploring new caverns to build new silver mines, when suddenly I stumbled into a massive cave. It was vast and beautiful! And the most beautiful thing about it? In it was a massive hoard of the finest silver I had ever seen! But less beautiful was the terrible cold-drake sleeping on top of it. It was Glaursmaug the Cold-hearted! I had found him! The legends were true! And much to my terror, he had heard my stumbling and was waking up! Curse us Dwarves and our clumsy legs! I had to think fast! Glaursmaug glared at me. I could see the wrath and evil burning in his eyes! "Foolish Dwarf! How dare you disrupt the sleep of Glaursmaug the Cold-hearted! Now I shall eat you alive, so none of your kin ever interrupt my sleep again!" Apparently Glaursmaug had come up with that most fashionable title himself. Well, I didn't waste any time! So I quickly responded. "Oh Glaursmaug the Cold-hearted, I assure you have not waken up. Us Dwarves are a weak, cowardly, and pathetic people. As such we would never have the courage to approach such a mighty dragon! Of course not! No...this is just a dream!" Glaursmaug pondered my words quietly for a few moments. My life hung in the balance! "Oh...yes that does make sense! Dwarves are very cowardly, and I am very mighty! Very well! I shall go back to sleep then." Then much to my surprise Glaursmaug cuddled back onto his vast silver hoard with a content sigh and fell fast asleep. I can't believe that bullshit actually worked! So I scurried out of that cave as quickly as I could! And quietly too mind you. I didn't want to wake him up again. No way that bullshit was going to work twice! Well I got back to our fortress of Zigilgund, informed my kin about what I had found, and then we came back to that cave with a proper Dwarven army and killed Glaursmaug in his sleep. And then we all got rich from a massive hoard of silver! And to make this ending even more happy, now that Glaursmaug is dead his curse from the lands has been removed. So now spring is returning to the lands of Forochel! I promise spring is returning to Forochel! Even if it doesn't look like it. It just takes a few centuries for spring to fully return to those lands, given it was such a terrible curse. And a few centuries is no time at all for you elves! So I saved spring and got rich in the process! What is better happy ending than that?
