Outward Appearance

Cimorene has a willowy frame, and her steps are silent and graceful. She resembles an elf, tall and slender and light on her feet. But her ears are rounded, and there's a pink hue to her sun-kissed cheeks. Still, there's something distinctly... other about her, too; her smile too knowing, her eyes a little too ancient to be human. On the rare occasion sight of Cimorene can be caught, dark hair trails behind her gown in the wind, tied into a loose and fraying braid, and she leaves the smell of thyme and coming rain in her wake.

Background

Cimorene is the River-maid of the Enchanted River in Mirkwood. River-maids are born in their rivers, daughters of the River-woman, and thus all sisters to each other.

The Enchanted River rose in the Mountains of Mirkwood and flows northwards in a great loop to meet the Forest River under the canopy of the trees of Mirkwood. Its water is black, and carries a curse that gave the river its name - any person coming into contact with its enchanted water immediately fell into a long, deep sleep. But before the river was cursed, in the ancient days of old, it was called Lúthir, and tended to by it's River-maid, Cimorene.

When her river was cursed, she chose to flee, rather than become consumed by it like Gwaurodel. She has regretted it all of her life.

Cimorene will be very unlikely to be active in any role-play on Meriadoc; this profile is mostly just a place to compile and share works about a LOTRO character who kind of just exists in her own little IC world. However, I am unable to refuse role-play when requested.
