The whisper of Maedhros's return went before him.



Silaria embraced him and took him back to his tent. She brought him milk and stew. Maedhros fell asleep as though he had never been to that garden before, but he didn't dream. When Maedhros awoke, he saw a sword the smith had made placed across his blanket.
"To replace the one you lost," Silaria said to him.
