Tearing us apart!
After slaying an evil monster of the deeps, the Dwarves of Durin's Folk and Greengrove discuss what is to happen to the ring that was found on the creature. Apparently this ring was formerly enchanted and of elven make, but the Dwarves want to keep it for themselves as it was found in Dwarven halls. After previously insisting that the ring should go to the elves, Greengrove claims that he lost the ring. None of the Dwarves of Durin's Folk believe him, except Rompli who swears that Greengrove would never lie to them. But as Fralir searches Greengrove for the ring, he lifts his hat and finds...a chicken! But underneath this veritable companion lies the ring! Rompli is heartbroken that their friend Greengrove has lied to them. Ultimately Greengrove is persuaded to concede the ring to the Dwarves, but only on the condition it is to be given to a wizard to be protected.
