Carved into the bone.

"Good... Now, recite them again. This time, don't talk at me. Show me that you feel them."

the tall grass tickled his hand softly as he smiled towards the warm sun that had risen to meet his face. Trodding across the fields of Bree with a smile set on his lips and happiness in his gait as he remembered the days of his training, standing there with his brother and the others who remained.

'"Valour! I will posses the courage to face all challanges squarely with a resolute and moral heart. It is important that bravery and courage should not be confused with pride. Bravery and Courage are necessary to indentify and achieve lives goals and the setbacks that surround them."
Baralinion roared as he pulled the bowstring back, taking aim at the disc for but a split second before loosing. Watching the arrow soar before impaling its mark and shuttering to the ground.

Cynraede nodded and folded his arms across his chest, he had seen the stare on his face numerous times before he growled. "Thats not the only tenet, boy. You don't stop til you have recited them all.  You will know these words by heart! YOU WILL SAY THEM IN YOUR SLEEP!"

Baralinions arms burned with every string pull, his muscles screaming with every arrow he plucked. He fought for breath and control as he loosed the arrows at his targets, chanting the tenants of his order.

"BENEVOLENCE!"

"RECTITUDE!"

"CHIVALRY!"

"LOYALTY!"

"HONESTY!"

"HONOUR!"

The roars carried inside the training hall from the hours of which even the birds did not sing, til they had even nestled down in their homes and would have been resting if it hadn't been for the youth of the Order screaming and chanting like some heathens in the midst of the night.

The Caun paused and watched his pupil and younger brother. Dripping with sweat, his arms bruised and battered from the incorrect grips or draws which rewarded with strikes upon his forearms to remind him of his mistakes. The hall had grown quiet within the mountain fortress of the Order and he stood before Baralinion and gave a nod.

"I give these to you not as punishment... I teach you this because even in the heat of battle you will call upon these words as courage and hope... When in the thick of darkness, just before the dawn... When you are at your weakest... Your heart will call upon them to remind you of why you draw your steel. Why you play the single stringed harp. When others look to you and you call to them to rally... You must remember... They need hope too. You must kindle the fires in their hearts and your own. You have trained enough for today... Go and bathe, find some food and rest. We will start over again tomorrow."

Baralinion pulled the twin war braids back behind his ear and looked bemused. "Again? How long must we go over this? I know the words, Cynraede. I understand the oath."

The Caun paused and pinched the bridge of his nose before turning and standing inches away from his sibling before placing his hands on either side of his face, staring him into his eyes. "But you do not feel Them. You may stop when those words are carved on your bones. Or your epitaph. Only you can chose which. Now. Run four laps for being insolent."
