Entry 2

I forgot this existed. Time flies when you are having fun I suppose. Let us see what all has transpired:

I have been ensnared in a jolly company of elves, dwarves and men, the owners of the Hammer and Harp Inn and their friends. Much hilarity and strife happens when we are together it seems; today nearly came to blows with an elf and yelling at a dwarf.

I am surrounded by ones I love dearly now. Each and every one in my "herd" so to put it (Not my phrasing. Thank you, Alralas. Cheeky lad.)  It seems that the love I have to give has multiplied exponentially since my beloved's passing in Rohan and me leaving there. We are a merry band of men, all quite fond and caring of each other and I would have it no other way. This, perhaps, is where I am meant to be.

I outdrank a dwarf. I am proud of that and will take that achievement to the grave with me. Let none forget the might and fervor of the Eorlingas!

I snuck up on a stag. I startled him,  and it startled me in turn. He decided to charge at me first. I couldn't draw my bow in time and was entangled in his antlers. I wrestled with him for a while before i managed to get my hunting knife. The venison was good. I won. Dislocated my arm during that affair. Still hurts.

It seems that I am well liked here. I will not complain. Everywhere I am met with a friendly smile and an offer to share a drink. I can count on one hand the people I do not like. And I do not dislike without reason. Today I found myself sharing drinks and recounting my account of what went down at the Hornburg. I looked around and all saw friends of mine.

I am looking into purchasing land soon. If bought before winter, I can hastily build a dwelling to last for the winter from the hides I have hunted and nearby resources. It won't be luxurious but would last well enough till sprig and we can build a proper house.

The hunt is bountiful thus far. I am hunting hides and other resources for peoples larders and needs for a fee. I am clad in leathers I hunted myself and eat food I hunt and forage myself.

As each day passes, my love for this quaint town and it's equally quaint inhabitants grows. I have no desire to leave.
