The Company Expands

Well... what a day that was!

Furley sat behind his desk thoughtfully, sifting through their ledgers and their roster, mulling over his head the new staff listing, wage structure, and how much they'd have to earn to get their money back and also turn a profit.

There had been over twenty people at the meeting, and as their ranks swelled, so did their need to look for shared responsibility, as this was a venture that they couldn't bare without help. Though he had never felt otherwise, it reminded him just how relieved he was to have Deorla back. She chaired the meeting so well, and had a knack for people that he had never quite mastered himself. And with the size of the Company, he could no longer hold it up alone. Hopefully, this time she'd stay indefinitely. And, even more so, he hoped that she'd keep standing at the fore as she had been doing. People gravitated to her, and that was so important in managing this venture. He was more than happy to allow her the forum to do what she did best.

Not only that, but they had found trust in the Sergeant Kildwin and the Commander Altheric, though he was quite reserved at first in taking the extra responsibility. As they stood on the stage, they interviewed the new candidates and asked questions of those in the current ranks, and allocated them to where they were needed most.

Seregrian - Chief Diplomat, tasked with establishing trade and relations with other kins and businesses; Tathalin and Gaurnim under her charge.

Altheric and Kildwin - Commander and Sergeant, tasked with training and leading the expeditions; Adhenarth, Kavad, Sarihana, Amathlan, Leroidir and Ithilwe under their charge.

Amaken - Head Craftsman, tasked with equipping the Company and creating gear and materials to sell at markets, utilising all crafters from the kin. Tarnon, Kildwin, Amathlan, Cutch, Seregrian and Helgaer would answer to and assist him in this.

Elthhelm - Head Scout, tasked with assessing threats to the Company on the roads before they appear. Tarnon, Amathlan and Harlaxton would answer to him.

All in all, they had a decent roster, and furthermore had those that hadn't chosen a field yet and were happy to assist wherever they could. But the Company was beginning to take shape, and they had a group of reliable officers they could count on to help them in their designated fields. This was a major step to having everyone pull in the right direction.

Smiling to himself, he removed his feather hat, brushed it with his palm and placed it on the table, officially clocking out for the evening. Now the structure was in place, it was his belief that their successes would now grow ten-fold.

"Tomorrow, we'll plan the finer details of the market in the Shire and the shipments to Celondim. Then, we'll look into the trip south in September" he said to himself, aloud.

"But first, wine".
