Adanthrymm has travelled far in his 63 years of life, since he left the lands of Gondor in his twenties. He has ranged up across the lands or Gondor and Rohan, where he spent a great deal of time and developed his love and respect for animals. He ventured into the great Fangorn, and laid eyes upon the tower of Saruman the White. He visited elves in Mirkwood and was named elf-friend, allowing him to pass through the Golden Wood unharmed. He crossed the pass of Caradhras and came down into Rivendell, where he dwelt for many years learning from the Elves. Finally he came to Bree-land, the object of his travels, where he settled and learned and taught for many years. He befriended Rangers, aided travellers and learned much about the race of Men and the nature of the world in his wanderings, but also developed much as a man himself.

Adanthrymm has a penchant for pipe-weed, and a talent for farming and producing it as well as helping it disappear very quickly. He also has a weakness for roast beef.
