Realization

Dryn made his way to the Pony. He had a faint expression of not wanting to. It was because he had his heart played again. It must have been a trend for women to have wanting to do that just so they would just leave suddenly with another person. He was fortunate enough that he wasn’t a bedwarmer for them but he was mentally sure that it was being close to that one way or another. Not that he was a fan of their mental instability anyways.

He did not want to go to the inn that should have such people there. He could have wandered to places like the gravesite that had housed his parents and the only one he had been with that did understand him. That understood his darkness. That stood by him no matter what drama would occur. They both gave each other second chances if need be. None of those who he had courted knew that and he was thankful. Who knew if they would use that against him?

He could have done that. He could have gone to that quiet place. But something told him not to, to go to that inn at the place where he was born. But something told him to.

He soon arrived at the Pony, where he had seen Amanda. She was back and unscathed, it would have seemed. It caused him to be relieved that she was alive after leaving a letter to him about her going away.

She had gone to take care of personal things. With every word of the explanation, Dryn started to know. There was a time in his life that he had done the same a fair few times. Although, at that time, even though there was a small amount of time he had told them and the rest he did not, it caused those around him to worry. What mattered the most were not if he was successful or not, but it was of his well-being. Even Gold was worried about him and the past comments of Dryn being wayward to the point of Dryn being disowned had proven logical. The result was they had made peace with one another later on. Dryn saw all of that with Amanda, causing him to understand. When Kristophor was gone for such a long time and came back, concern overwhelmed Dryn. He was not angry but part of him wished that he had gone with her or be of some other help.

It made him realize that there was no need to worry about something in the romantic field. The true right one would come into his life eventually. What made him more content was the number of loyal friends and family around him. He would give his life for them if need be. To him, that would be good enough because he sure as hell would do his best not to lose anyone else.
