A.V. Ashbark's Ledger, Page 42

Date - 27th March

Perhaps I spoke harshly, but had I done so then it was -- without a shadow of doubt --warranted. If you want the cause for my ire then you must realize that it rests in your words and your attitude toward my circumstances. You forgive me? What for? I haven't a clue of how I have wronged you save for in one instance and for that I shall not lay myself at your feet, groveling apologies for your cheap forgiveness. You know that it is a matter I abhor with an immense magnitude and you know that I have no desire to broach the subject, but I am angered by you thinking that your forgiveness is required or wanted, when it is you who has wronged me in great ways. I do not ask for apology, nor do I expect it. You have made decisions that fell upon others with regret, and I live with it, I endure it -- so must you. And last, if there were any lingering doubts concerning my recent absence during the funeral, then know that there was no love there and I shan't lower myself to pretend that there were. Not for you. You do not deserve that comfort. Live with it.
