Gone Once More
As Amanda watched Rickstan ride off back home after she told him she would be home later than usual, she decided to make her way to the graveyard, as she got there she went over to her mother, brother, and sister's gravestones, sitting by her mother's gravestone and quietly staring down at the ground before beginning to just speak about her life...
"... when it happened I thought I was going to lose someone else that I love... So I left... I think you would really love them, mama, I really do... Just like I do..." she sighed, wiping her eye as a tear began to escape it, looking down at the ground.
A soft wind blew through the trees, as it did there was a small pressure on her shoulder, and a distant voice speaking to her, "My dear Amy... My sweet girl, I will always love them, for they have taken great care of you, a feat I could never master before my life was taken away from me unrighteously, before I had a chance to properly say goodbye to you, give you one final hug and a final kiss, and feel your tight arms around me and the sunshine on the cloudiest of days from your bright smile and contagious laughter that could fill an entire, crowded room... Something I will never be able to experience again for myself, but those you love and love you will experience it for me... One day sooner than the other."
Amanda looked around at the voice, her eyes filling with tears as she called out, "Mama... I can hear you but I can't see you... Where are you? Please come back home! I need you!"
The pressure on her shoulder grew tighter, the voice speaking again, "I'm here my beautiful girl... I'll always be here, I'm always with you, no matter how lost or afraid you feel, I'm here."
Amanda looked over her shoulder as she heard the voice once more, seeing her mother she quickly launched herself to her, wrapping her arms tight around her neck in a tight hug, crying into her shoulder, "Mama... Please don't leave, don't leave me again"
Her mother laughed, hugging her in return, her own eyes tearing up, "My beautiful girl... My sweet, sweet girl... I never left you, I was always with you in your heart..."
Amanda held her tightly, speaking through her tears, "Mama, please stay, please tell me you're home... Please say it was all just a bad dream!"
Her mother shook her head, "I'm sorry, Amy... You know I can't... I wish with all my heart I could be here with you, and meet all your friends you speak so often about when you come to visit... But I can't..."
Amanda sat up and looked at her, her eyes red as tears streamed down her cheeks, "Mama... Please just stay for a day, please just do that... I'm begging you..."
Her mother smiled at her, softly cupping her cheeks in her palms and wiping her tears away, "My beautiful Amanda... You've grown up so beautifully... But I'm afraid my time is up..." She pulled Amanda close, putting her lips to her forehead and kissing her, closing her eyes
Amanda shook her head, grabbing her arms with her hands, "Mama don't leave me... Not again... Please don't go"
Her mother smiled softly, "I love you, my beautiful girl..."
Her voice carried softly as the wind blew again, her mother disappearing just as quickly as she did appear, Amanda fell down onto her arms so she was hunched over, sobbing into the dirt, screaming out as she punched the ground with her fists, "Mama!! Come back!! Please!!" Amanda soon fell silent into a simply hunched over figure on the ground, sobbing quietly into her arms and the grass... Her mother was gone once again...
The 2 screenshots are both done by me, I edited them into one.
