In the winter months I want to sleep all day, but now that spring has reached my little farm I find that I am awake the moment the sunrises. The morning glories open their happy faces and the little birds are chirping and dancing around to greet me as I go out into the dappled sunlight to sip my coffee and write in my book. It has been ages since I put pen to paper. I did not want to write about Kristophor and the sadness of missing someone and that was all that filled my mind and heart for some time. I know Amanda struggles daily but I do my best to keep her head up and her time busy. We both miss him dearly.
There was a market in town yesterday. Town was booming with people and I sold all of my flowers. I met a new woman, Lissabeth, she makes soaps and uses flowers in them. I gave her a really good deal on some dried roses and lavender in hopes of building a new customer and in return she gave me a lavender soap that I can turn into a cream for my hair. I can not wait to try it out! I also finally got to give a copper cloak pin I made weeks ago to the sweet hobbit lass I met last time. She traded me some more of her wonderful sausages.
It made me feel like life is starting to return, spring always brings a renewal and reminds us that life moves on, it keeps going and growing and we need to do the same.
(There are vines and flowers and hearts drawn all over the edges of the page and at the top is a sword with a detailed flower pattern in the hilt)
