A Chance Meeting: Part One

It was a beautiful day, trees swaying, water flowing, and birds chirping their relaxing hum. I had attempt to seek out my two eager friends, for still the travel of our long tiring journey had still took a hefty toll on their wondering feet. I found no sight of them, in the market nor the square, but instead in their beds, still sleeping the morning away. I had decided to see if I could get some flowers for my abode, perhaps even some pinecones. I gathered a basket and set out, I was about an hour from the protective eyes of the guard, yet I felt more safe in the wilderness. I went further and further into the wilderness, picking flowers and pinecones, until I was put to a stop for I had heard the most beautiful song. I followed the calming noise to it's source, a beautiful maiden. Her entrancing voice, her silky black hair, and pale eyes.
