Lavris and Annungilron Part three

Lavris and Annungilron: Part three- Through life and into the halls of Mandos

The door to Erthor's study swung open at Lavris' touch, she turned back to Annungilron and smiled at the way he chewed his bottom lip when he was nervous. Interlacing her fingers with his, she entered the study. "Father?” Erthor turned at the sound of Lavris' voice and and smiled at hisdaughter.

"What is it, flower?" Erthor's gaze fell on Annungilron and then traveled down to their intertwined hands and he raised a brow "Who is this?"

"This is Annungilron, father." Lavris glanced at Annungilron, and a silent signal passed between them. Annungilron cleared his throat and gave himself a mental shake "Lord Erthor  I love Lavris and we should want  to be wed”

Erthor gazed at at Annungilron intently, as though making sure he was truly in love with hisyoungest child. After a few everlasting minutes she straightened her back and walked around her desk. After embracing her daughter she took Annungilrons hands in her own- "There are times when one might be wondering with an empty mind and an ice-cold heart; What is the meaning of life without the sweet taste of love? A beautiful feeling that is alike to a lonely flower rising in the midst of a dark desert. It brightens life and fills one's mind. May the valar grant you happiness”

Annungilron turned to Lavris and held her close and tight and pressed his lips to her forehead, it seemed to Erthor  as though they were in a world of their own until Lavris broke the hold, reached out and drew him into an embrace.

The betrothed left the room with their hearts as light as feathers and full of love, they continued to host a feast with their close friends and family, at the end of the feast they stood together and said "Ai onron ah onril! Ai muindyr a muintheli! Ai meldir a meldis! Bestathof na veth min în!"*

*Hail father and mother! Hail brothers and sisters! Hail male-friends and female-friends! We two will marry at the end of one year!

After one year, the pair  were married in the same glade they met at. A grand feast was held there.  At the beginning of the feast Rhovanith  stood "May Varda Star-kindler hear Lavris and Annungilron’s calls, and may Eru the Father of All bless them." She raised her glass and sat once more. After Rhovanith’s statement, Aglaron, father of Annungilron stood and declared "May Manwe Lord of Wind watch over Lavris and Annungilron, and may Eru the Father of All bless them."
