Lavris and Annungilron: part two- Falling in love?
"'Good afternoon fair lady" his voice was soft and as enchanting as his music, Lavris barely heard his greeting for she was lost in his eyes, which she noted were a light blue with gray flecks. Pulling out of her reverie, Lavris returned his greeting;
"A star shines upon our meeting" Lavris noted he was about a head taller than her. A smile curved across Annungilron's lips as he tilted his head. "I am Annungilron, son of Aglaron, and what may your name be?"
"I am Lavris, daughter of Erthor" "And what brings you so far from the crowds , Lavris?" Lavris felt a smile make it's way onto her face
"We are only a few hundred yards from my home, and in any case if it were not for your music I would not be this far away. The herbs I seek grow in and around my garden "
Annungilron's eyes sparkled with pleasure at the mention of his music "My song drew you from your task? Tell me, my lady, did you enjoy the song?" A dreamy look entered Lavris' eyes;
"It was wonderful, I felt light, as though the wind could carry me up into the stars"
Annungilron nibbled his lower lip then grinned "Would you like me to play you another?"
Lavris nodded and wordlessly sat down an a large nearby stone and closed her eyes as the male elf raised his flute to his lips and played song, after song until dark began to fall and they were loathe to return to their respective homes. They continued meeting in the woods and dancing, playing songs and falling in love together for several days and although it only took a few days to fall helplessly in love with each other they continued to court for another six months.
On a warm spring day while they lying next to each other in a glade where patches of cobalt sky where visible Annungilron asked if her parents approved, would Lavris marry him. Lavris answered yes without a seconds hesitation and took him to meet her father, Erthor.
