First entry
The....
I have never written something like this before. Actually I have never written much at all. But for the first time in my life... I feel that my actions is worth writing down. I suppose I should start by telling how ended up here.
This adventure began more than two weeks ago, when I left Thorins Hall. I never really knew what made me feel unwelcome there. Maybe the seize and coldness of the mountains, or the feeling of being stuck deep beneath the ground when some much of the world awaits outside.
I travelled through the lowlands of Ered Lurin with a caravan bringing supplies to the dwarwen outposts in the valleys below the Mountains. With every step I was getting further and further away from home than I had ever been, I was scared I suppose. That feeling got even stronger when I left dwarwen land. I stayed away from the elven settlements to the south, but continued westward towards to borders of the Shire.
And that is how I ended up here, staying in the Hobbit town Bywater. Two days ago i had never seen a hobbit in my life, and now they are everywhere around me. I listened to their music and riddles last night, it was oddly beautiful. I even spoke to a couple of my kinsmen, fellow Long Beards passing through the Shire.
One could feel at home in this simple place, among the green hills and friendly people. But there is still much more to see and the road goes on towards Bree-land. And must follow it.
