Allot happened the last few weeks.
Where to start this time.
I suppose I should start with telling myself to get some proper rest for once. Remember this Atharan, if you ever read this for council. You need to listen to people and get some sleep.
I collapsed a few days back after I spend days on end fighting and scouting the lands of Bree. Mostly the West-fields and hills. If it had not been for Luinor's arrival I would surely have collapsed in the presence of some old friends of mine. I should find a way to repay him. He brought me to the old Greenway fort where I slept for almost an entire day, or so I think.
It wasn't long after that Ayiana returned to as well. She has finally become a true ranger. An unwise one but a trained and ready one. It feels good to have her at my side again as it began to become quiet. Perhaps I have grown to accustomed to having folk around me but that be so. After all, I might be a ranger but I am also a man. And even I need company and the warmth of friends.
Ayiana will fight at my side as Halbarad has ordered her to do so.
I am very proud of her.
Speaking of old friends. Rothrian came back from Rohan. Apperently she has been trying to come in contact with me but none of her letters ever reached me. Perhaps just bad luck, or perhaps something more sinister. I can turn away the thought that someone might be tracking me or her. This is a good thing to keep in mind.
Of course she showed up when I had not slept for a while so I got scolded. Sort of.
We talked a bit, I told her about Ayiana as my apprentice but perhaps not wise to introduce her as my wife just yet.
After a while she went to Bree after I told her Fiontann was there as well. I hope she is with his company again. At least they can all look after one another then. Such an idea gives me a feeling of comfort.
Then there is Eorthel. A new friend I recently made. He is of my own kin and that makes it all the better.
One of the scouts of Halbarad, he was send to gather information on the Blackwold in Chetwood forest. I asked him to stay at my side as well. There is much happening in Bree-land. The barrows and the Old forest grow ever more dangerous and the Blackwold keep gaining members. And so I asked him to stay at my side as well, and he did. Now that I have his help and Ayiana's as well, I think we might be able to finally make a larger difference in these lands. Even if this sounds a bit optimistic, I can at least dream so.
