Report number in sequence: One.
The body:
Haradraug Meluihir, a no one to no one. Reporting from what I did today on the case, which was given given around the camp. Sounded interesting for my old face and I decided to give it some kind of relevance. I am not useful around the camp anyways, so…
I guess from what I’ve read at Aeruthuil’s order and the Notice banner I realized only one thing – the stuff is going to be hard for me. I know nothing of this town nowadays and I know nothing of the person we are searching for. All I know is that he is some one close to Aeru, and that’s all I need to know really.
First thing I decided to go to this shithole tavern, trying to speculate there and see if I can catch the suspect in the first day. Well, that didn’t work well, I wrote over about 20 people and none of them matched the description, which was not efficient. I decided to give it a few days and see what I can get out of this.
On the second day – same thing. Nothing different – people seem to be either from Bree or somewhere from Rohan, which is odd. There were no Gondorians around, which is not odd. But yet that makes the task easier since the circle of suspects narrows majorly.
Third day wasn’t great as well. I am really thinking of giving up on idea of trying to catch the person here, now considering to go and patrol the streets and outskirts. I decided that the next day is going to be my last day of trying and then I move on.
Fourth day was a mere success. A huge success compared to the other days. There was one shady guy who matched the description perfectly, so I decided to get closer and observe, see where he is going to go. The fellow left after a rather rude interaction with the little serving hobbit and I moved onward to follow him. He went to the North gate of the town and outside, stopping briefly at one really suspicious area. As he moved away, I sneaked to see what he stopped for and only saw semi-fresh blood covering the stones and ground. And it wasn’t like someone or something died there, it was spilt all around as if it was beaten real bad and left for more beatings to come. And…I lost the track of the guy, where I almost ate myself alive for doing such thing. Seems like I found the guy, but lost him the same hour.
At least, well, now I know him in face and can inform Aeruthuil about him if he is nearby, so I will have some help to get this guy and ‘ask him some questions’.
