What an eventful past few months indeed.
For starters, I ended up marrying a dear friend of mine; Cirdu Adunor of Gondor. I have known him long and find him to be kind and always there for me. Since the passing of my late husband, we have spent more time together than usual. Others may perceive Cirdu as a shady character of sorts, however he is far from it. Once you get to know him, he is friendly and rather funny.
He has one flaw, though; he is very clumsy. I do often wonder how someone could partake in the line of work he used to do, with such an uncareful nature. He makes up for it, though. He has a heart of gold and looks after me. I look after him also, or so I hope. He is quite taken with my muffins recipe and is always begging me to bake more. Oh, he does make me laugh!
My parents and friends were floored by my swift decision to wed, though supportive. Cirdu loved me for a long time and I had growing feelings for him. I decided to marry him because I love him, and I do believe we shall be together for the rest of our days. I want nothing more than to live in peace with my husband, whether it be in the Mark or Gondor. I desire to visit my beloved's homeland, especially Minas Tirith from where he hails. I told him I would follow him there, to set up home. We shall see what happens. For now, our fates lie within Eriador and I have a duty to enter battle if need be.
Cirdu and I are not the only new couple. I was absolutely shocked when father announced he was marrying mother! The two have not been a couple since mother was pregnant with me. I am glad they have found each other again and their love, albeit almost nineteen years late! I wonder when they will wed? Father seems to not be in a rush. I believe he is just happy to have accepted mother into his life again. They have finally been able to wipe the slate clean. I am thankful for this. So, so thankful.
I had the pleasure of visiting Lord Andarne at his new home. Sadly, it was not a social call. I was to pass on a message to him. Nimlith, a good friend of his; went missing in Eregion. An Elf by the name of Huinen entrusted me with the message, in an off-chance meeting in Bree. We spoke a little, and it was soon apparent he was a friend of The Malledhrim. As an Honourary Malledhrim of Andarne's sect, I felt it my duty to pass on the information. I also felt it my duty to travel to Eregion and aid The Malledhrim in the search of the Elf-maiden. We, and many others (mostly Elves) managed to find her. She was imprisoned by foul folk - Dunlendings. How I hate them! The grief they have caused in my homeland, it angers me. I believe the Lady Nimlith is safe now. I should write to Andarne and ask about her recovery.
