-Part Two

-This is most troubling, said Lord Elrond and put the piece of parchment down on his desk, he looked in the eyes of those around him and pushed his hands against the desk to get up. Calmly he walked to the window to look outside, just the moment when a light breeze blew to his face, he closed his eyes and breathed in, thinking, unexpressed. The Elves in the room remained silent, standing upright, their expressions wouldn't betray what was going on in their mind, if they were thinking or not, they just stood there. The two men present lowered their heads and remained like that, they had taken their masks off and stood in the council, trying to find a course of action against the recent happenings. Lord Elrond turned around to face them all and spoke at last, "Too many Rangers have fallen this week, under strange circumstances all over Eriador..." and walked to his desk to take the letter and read again.
-Surely the Rangers must know how all those murders occured, don't you? asked a blonde Elf, almost looking down at the men who were almost as tall as him. "If we knew they'd be dead already and we wouldn't trouble you like this." answered one of the men, he wore a dark green outfit, muddy boots and had stains all over his clothes, the Elf tunred his eyes on the man but didn't reply, he just look at him, up and down, showing him his disapproval of the Ranger's appearance in the Last Homely House. The Ranger noticed that but didn't say anything, he knew how some Elves can be, instead he turned his attention to Elrond, who had just finished reading the letter for the fourth or fifth time since it arrived, that very morning. "We are here to discuss a course of action and not accuse each other." came his reply and looked at the blonde Elf who nodded, showing his disdain, yet he reminded silent.
Once more Lord Elrond's eyes looked around the room, inspecting those present and his commanding voice came out, making the Elf he named stand in attention with a decisive look on his face. "Galrondor! You will be our contact with the Rangers." and turned to face the man who replied to the blonde Elf, "And you Amdarath, shall remain here and work with Galrondor, your job is to coordinate things between us, the Rangers and a group will be made to start looking for the perpetrators. Halbarad said one of you two will stay here under my commands." and showed the letter to the men, to prove his words, they nodded and the other man left, along with the rest of the Elves, except Galrondor. The two exchanged some looks, offering a smile one another for a long time now.
When everyone left the room Lord Elrond stood in front of them and turned his eyes to Amdarath "Do you know anyone trustworthy enough to form a group to investigate? With fewer Rangers at the borders the orcs could try and attack any settlement and any given time.". The man looked down for one moment before looking up at the Elf-Lord again and replied "There is a Ranger called Atharan, he spends much of his time around Bree-land and knows the ways of men, if some of them know something he can easily find out and report to us.".  Lord Elrond nodded once firmly and spoke, "Good, summon him at once, he can bring any others whom he deems trustworthy for an important mission. Tell him to be here as soon as possible.
Amdarath nodded once and turned and left without a word, Galrondor remained with the Elf-Lord and gave voice too his thoughts, "What do you think my Lord?" only to get a brief reply, "I don't know, I would expect an attack as I said but we can't be sure, we need to investigate further.". Galrondor then left without a word and Elrond walked to the door and beckoned a messenger to whom he gave some instructions and sent away.
