The trip to become complete

When I got the letter I thought questions would get some answer. But it did not, not really at least.

I took the letter and went back to my room. I stayed in there for many hours reading and reading. I could not really understand what it said. Some man had written it with a sloppy handwriting and old paper.

Hello dear Amyilyn.

I write to you because I have the knowledge that you parents has passed away. I am an old friend of them but I have never had the pleasure to meet you. I have some things your father and mother left here for you. I am sorry you had to get the news this way. I am looking forward to meet you.

Tyrild”

Every time I read it I could not hold my tears back. I knew they could not be alive after all these years. But what had happened. I still did not know but I know that I had to leave. On the bottom of the paper it was written an address to this Tyrild. Could it be a fake message? Well I thought I had no choice then to go and see. But not without weapons. I thought for a long time if I really should go alone. The only once I got back then was this new group of people that I really did not know. And I could not ask then for a silly thing like this. No I had to go myself. I packed my bags full of things I may need. I knew the trip was going to be long. And I was not sure if I would return. I decided to not tell anyone, that’s was maybe not the best decision I have made. I left Bree in the darkness of the night so no one I know would see me leave. I had a plan to ride as long as me and my horse could and have few breaks. I needed to get there. But I needed to have my head clear when I arrived. I stopped just outside the town and made a small camp for the night. In the morning I walked inside the town with my hood cover my face. I pay the stable man and he took Vanilla inside and she got some food. Before leaving I asked him for the way to the address I had and he pointed me in the right direction. I took a look around as I walk towards the address. The houses were in bad shape and the people looks like they were suffering and was really poor. Suddenly a little boy appears in front of my feet. He apparently was playing with his friends and their toy ended up on the street. Both of us stopped in the move and we looked at each other. He´s eyes were big and he looked a bit scared so I kneeled down. I know he would probably not understand what I say. I opened my bag and looked inside it. I had a whole bread left and some fruits. I smiled to myself before I took off the bag and handed it to him. He looked at both my hand with the bag and my eyes. I tried to show him that it was alright. Slowly he reached out his hand took the bag in his hand. I gave him a smiles and raised up again. He did hold the bag thigh to his small body before running back to his friends. I started to continue my walk. I got closer to the address and my stomach started to hurt. I was so nervous. What news did he had to me? Well no point to wait, I just need to do this. I started to walk faster. As I reached a small and forlorn house. I stopped and took a deep breath but before I had any chance to move closer a man comes out though the door. He looks beaten and sad, his clothing are just rags and dirty once. He looks at me up and down before asking me if I am Amyilyn. He has waited me for long time now, but he did not forget about me. I just nod. He turns around and leaves the door open behind him so I walk in fast after him. The house is simply furnished and the roof was leaked in water. He showed me inside a smaller room and closed the door. He started to speak about my parents and him. I thought I would just let him speak as much as he felt to do. It turned out he had been living a good life before and at that point he had purchased a horse from my father and in that they become friends. So When he was in aid for help he had called for my father. And he had come and after came my mother, not happy he had just left her. He chuckles a little to the memories. Bandits had tried to take over the town, burning buildings and kill people that tried to escape. His smile slowly disappearing from his face. I knew what had happened after that, he did not have to say it. I lay a hand on to his shoulder. He looked up on me and nod. He then opens a small box he had on a small table next to him. In there I found my mother’s neckles and my father’s dagger. Well taken care off and cleaned. I felt how the tears started to burn behind my eyelids. I looked at them for a long moment. He said I could take them if I wanted. From that moment I felt I needed to give something back. I asked if I could stay to help him with his house or anything he needed. At first he said no. But I told him that’s what my father had wanted me to do he let me stay. And that was the best decision I made during this trip. When I finally decided to go back I felt I had repaid him back for what he had given me. I was a bit closer to be whole again..
