Background
We are wanderers far from home, seeking justice by the
sword. Our quest leads us on long lost paths, into the
shadows of forgotten time. Unite we are the call of
Wilderland, unshaken and proud.

The Village of Skovsgard
Skovsgard, a small fiefdom hidden by the forests that lay north of Dale. It is led by Jarl Asvald, a wise and just ruler that maintains law and order for the famillies within that call it home. Give or take, the number of inhabitants lay between the eight- or ninethundred.
The village is surrounded by vast clearances of land amidst a forest, kept fertile by the nearby river that streams through the farmlands. Each morning the roosters awaken the people and their herds of bovines and goats. They are self-sufficient if nothing else, edibles made from milk or simply eggs and bread are the most common parts of a mealtime there. There is an area within this village particularly kept for those with the hands of crafters, potters spin clay on the tune of smiths that hammer the tools. Fletchers are among the wealthiest there, for a steady supply is an all time need. The difference between hunter or fighter lies thin there and Skovsgard has no lack of either.
Yet among this hardy folk, the hardiest yet are the trained Household warriors of the Jarl. Toughened veterans whom spent a lifetime defending the boundaries against raiders or large beasts where arrows shot from the trees wouldn't be enough. Their value is without question, for if they would lose their Farmland so carefully maintained amidst these wide lands of frost, their fate would be sealed. And thus a compact introduction to Skovsgard, a small gem within the vastness of Wilderland.
The Jarl Asvald of Skovsgard

The Timeline of Our Travels
- In the village of Skovsgard, the Jarl Asvald's only heir, Bjargarr, is killed in an attempt to usurp the Jarl's Hall. The Jarl himself does not die and eventually he and his men push back the attack.
- After the failed attempt the mercenaries Jorundr and Sveinvar flee.
- A small fellowship is formed to hunt down these men to avenge the Jarl's son's death and their treason. Hildey, Voldig and Rannulfr are set on the paths unknown, seeking justice in the Jarl's name.
- They meet Vigrim of Ljosta who travels alone. Vigrim sees it sensible to join the three of his fellow Northmen for security and company.
- On their path they pass many small settlements, in one of them they learn that Jorundr and Sveinvar had made many inquiries about the Gap of Rohan and what laid beyond it, this becomes the main destination for the Northmen now.
- The now four Northmen run into a remote half-orc outpost and end up confronting the blackbloods, experiencing heavy losses. Vigrim and Voldig are badly wounded.
- Vigrim and Voldig suffer of horrible fevers. Hildey and Rannulfr seek aid, and find a camp of The Dwarf, Flosli, who at first tries to shoot an arrow into Hildey, but later on provides to be useful, as he happens to have a jar of ointment for wounds. Hildey trades the ointment for labour.
- After Vigrim and Voldig have grown healthy enough to travel, the four Northmen aid Flosli to carry hides and meat to A Dunlending village.
- They do not enter the village, for they have learnt The Dunlendings do not like fair-haired men.
- They run into half-orcs once again with greater success this time. They loot their belongings and gain two horses. The Northmen fight over the two horses.
- Flosli returns from the Dunlending village. They learn half-orcs in fact hunt them down for attacking one of their outposts earlier.
- After council given by Flosli, they decide to cross the river Greyflood and head across the Lone Lands.
- While making their way across the fruitless lands of the Eglain they ran into Bjargarr's cousin, Yngwar, who had been sent on the same mission as Hildey, Voldig and Rannulfr. This man was however sent 'to prove his worth as the next heir'. It made little sense to any of them, riddling the travelers with questions about the Jarl's motives.
- Before reaching the Forsaken Inn they ran into a goblin encampment almost managing to pass it without notice. Unfortunately four scouts spotted them a bit further away. The blackbloods were struck down, yet two of the travelers were hit by poisoned arrows.
- They stay in the Forsaken Inn hoping for the best and fearing for the worst, for the Dwarf Flosli drifts in the void between life and death.
- Hildey and Yngwar rode for three days in pouring rain, their destination the Town of Bree, their spirits drained and butts sore once they reached the Gates. They sought for the best healer in Town in hopes to relieve Flosli's suffering.
- Hildey and Yngwar found a renowed healer, Gwynne, who studied her tomes and prepared an antidote against the poison. The two Northmen ride back at the Forsaken Inn, utterly exhausted for the days of vigorous riding.
- Flosli's wound is treated by suitable medicine, and all are happy for a brief moment, until suddenly Voldig appears behind them, his nose bloody. Turns out he had started a brawl with the Tavern's staff, threatening a woman who didn't give him freely the items he wanted.
- The more or less charismatic Yngwar attempts to plead to Anlaf's good nature, yet fails despite his handsome looks. Aside for the Dwarf Flosli who remains unconscious in his bed - the members of the fellowship are thrown out of the Tavern.
- The Northmen travel to Bree-land and dwell for over a moon in Combe and Wattle while they scout nearby areas. In the Tavern they meet Solshildr who also dwells there, carrying a story of her own.
- In the Prancing Pony, Rannulfr finds his 'missing sons' Uxinn and Forstrang, seeing in them something his true son never quite managed to be. Hildey on the other hand, finds a man who is wanted for burning down a village. What they do not find...is signs of the men they hunt.
- They decide to travel further eventually, making their way toward the Village of Trestlebridge. On their way there, they run into the men of the said village being attacked by a large orc band. After a brief consideration the Northmen rush to aid the Bree-landers, managing to save three of them.
- The Northmen escort the Bree-landers back to Trestlebridge. One of them, a man called Tim reveals that there are two men fitting the descriptions of Jorundr and Sveinvar in their village.
- Hildey and Yngwar manage to get Tim convinced to help them, for which they manage to surprise attack Jorundr and Sveinvar at their dwelling, cornering them against the wall.
- Jorundr and Sveinvar seem unwilling to attack the men, pleading that they are being hunted down unjustly. That they never attacked the Jarl's men, but were themselves attacked instantly after they stepped into his hall. They tell a story how the Jarl had hired the mercenaries to deal with a man called Gunvald, who was well known in Skovsgard. After the deed was done, the Jarl refused to pay them. The men tried to reason with him, but met only steal. They had no other option but to fight back, and by their claim they killed the Jarl's son in self-defence.
- Rannulfr doesn't really care and attacks the men despite their story. Hildey cares only about her personal vendetta, so the reason why the men killed Bjargar is irrelevant to her, she pursues the battle as well. Hildey and Voldig eventually kill Jorundr, while Sveinvar is left severely wounded soon to die.
- Yngwar sees truth in the words of the mercenaries and is appalled by the deeds of his own group. He decides to stay by Sveinvar to learn the truth. Hildey and the others leave the Town, hoping the Townsfolk will not notice they had killed the two men who had helped the Town of Trestlebridge to fight back the orcs during the past two months.
The Characters

OOC matters:
We have created our own roll system within which we accept all sort of wounds and even death. The Kinship's RP style is based on realism and we take pride in our fragility. However we don't accept wounds and death from characters outside our Kinship who don't accept wounds and death as well, as a battle between a mortal and an immortal character isn't exactly fair. So to sum it up: If you seek to join us or confront us, be prepared to die! ...if necessary.
