Timeline of events.
With the rebooting of the Riders of the Riddermark under new leadership we have chosen to also reboot the timeline of events of the Færende Éored return to The Mark.
Pre-finding of the ring in the Shire.
- Auerdan assumes command of the Færende Éored in Bree from Ehris.
- Auerdan appoints Kennia as Maegisterwigend and sends out a summons to all Eorlings within Eriador to meet at the Meadhall in Bree.
- The Færende Éored reforms wth many riders heeding its call.
- Auerdan, the Athelwigend of the éored orders the mustered riders to the Lone Lands, where they make camp in the ruins of Ost Guruth.
- Over the following months they undergo training and become acquainted with the Dunedain ranger Maldavor.
- After ridding Garth Argawan of the foul spirits which were poisoning the lands the éored rides for Evendim to further aid the Rangers.
- On their way north, the éored pauses in Bree to gather supplies and so more Eorlings can join them.
- Maldavor leads the Færende Éored North, through the eastern reaches of the Shire up to High Kings Crossing, at the south easterly point of the Lake of Evendim.
- Having made met with the leaders of the Rangers responsible for Annuminas the Færende Éored moves to Tinnudir to help the Rangers in defeating the Angmarim, Orcs and Tomb Robbers who have occupied much of the city.
- Having heard dire news from Annúminas, Maldavor leads a party fo riders to assault the besieging orcs and their Angmarim. On foot they broke through the lines before regrouping with rangers tasked with defending Annúminas in one of the now ruined plazas. At first light they made their way towards the throne room of Ost Elendil as battle resumed throughout the city. In the throne room they found fell spirits and managed to drive them out.
- After the successful attack upon the throne room in Ost Elendil. Maldavor leaves the Færende Éored to journey north, unexpectedly upon a personal matter. The night before the Éored was to depart for the North Downs, a rider is kidnapped and many valuables are stolen. The trail leads into the wilds.
- Eorling riders tracked the kidnappers north into the frozen wastes of Forochel. After gathering furs to survive the freezing temperatures the Éored set off in pursuit. After riding hard, they make it to Kauppa Kohta, finding little news they pressed further north, entering into the icefields of Itä-mâ. Finally they rested at a nearby village.
- From the village of Pynti-Peldot they heard rumours which caused them to send scouting parties east and west. The eastern scouts came across a woman on the road but after talking to her, let her continue on her way - Only to rue this descision later.
- Leofrynn, the kidnapped rider is found upon the road south of Sûri-kylä. Having found their kinswoman the riders setup camp outside of the capital of the Lossoth.
- Whilst the Éored recovered in their camp events unfold which lead to a breakdown of trust within the Éored. Leofrynn, under the supposed control of an evil spirit poisons the two Maegisterwigends, before stabbing the Athelwigend with a poisoned blade. Coming upon the stabbing Eorland, Leofrynn's brother believes the Athelwigend had attacked his sister and knocks Auerdan unconscious. Rhinath, by luck is least affected by the poison and assumes command of the camp, whilst both Kennia and Auerdan are unconscious.
- After days of rest the Athelwigend and Maegisterwigend are finally able to resume their duties. Auerdan's first order is for preparations to be made for the execution of Eorland the Oathbreaker.
- The Day of the execution arrives and with the tip of the Athelwigend's sword resting at his neck Eorland is given one final chance to speak. Eorland speaks eloquently and at length about his oaths and commitments. Auerdan's face remains impassive until he finally relents and sheaths his sword sparing Eorland his life.Eorland is given the opportunity to re-swear his oaths and work towards making amends for his transgression against the Athelwigend, the Éored and The Mark.
