O' maiden of the green fields
Who rides the Mearas
Hails from the King's lands
Takes her sword and shield
To fight for those around
O' fair lady of Edoras
Who gives up her womanhood
Rides side by side the men
While her heart cries
When sees death around
O' strong woman of Rohan
Who fought many enemies
Saved many of her kind
And love her sisters
And her brothers around
O' all the shieldmaidens
Who will be forgotten by none
While men still live, will shout
"For the Eorlingas! For the King!
For Rohan!"
