Report: Assault of a madman.

((Disclaimer: The following account did not happen IC, but is merely an explanation for Penham being out of town for the next 17 days or so that I'll be out of the house due to a vacation.))

I was patrolling through the streets as usual this morning and had just passed Scholar's Stair when I heard a mad laugh behind me. Rather suddenly, a dirty looking man clad in rags with a filthy, long and dark beard attached to his mud stained face appeared from behind his cover and was aiming his bow at me. I was about to go into a defensive position and raise my shield to defend myself, but the bow was fired as soon as I turned to face him, hitting me just below the knee. The man took the time to laugh madly while he gazed at me before fleeing the scene towards the western part of the city. Clearly, he was not of sound mind whatsoever.

Wanting to avoid further injury, I pulled out the arrow on the spot and under great pain and attempted to pursue the criminal, but quickly found myself unable to continue and with no attacker in sight. I had to go to a nearby surgeon's clinic to have my leg treated before the injury got worse, but was told to keep my leg resting for at least 2 weeks.

I apologise for failing to apprehend the attacker. Unfortunately there is little more I could make out about his appearance, so we'll likely have to watch out for a strangely entertained man with a beard and a bow roaming the streets.

I would appreciate it if you could bring paper-work that is yet to be done to the adress in the homesteads I sent this report from so I can keep myself useful and busy while resting my leg.

Signed,

Officer Penham Fletwood
