Report: Assault near the Oldstone Ruins

While spending my time off talking about work related matters with Mandic at the Pony today, I was interrupted by a woman who sought more information about the actions of the Watch in regards to an attack that happened this week. Due to being preoccupied with other work (refer to my other report for more information), I was unable to answer her questions, but decided to follow her to the scene of the crime in order to gain more information about what occured.

There, near the Oldstone Ruins, we found the injured captain of the Bloody Dawn, Basaran, sitting on the ground and visibly injured. According to him, the likely perpetrator of said attack, who is most likely a small woman, threw a dagger at him before assaulting him and then fleeing shortly before our arrival.

In regards to how the attack came to happen, I will quote his own account:

"Was running through Beggars Alley, hid just at that bush towards he- ghn- towards your right there. Some reason she let out a yelp and I inspected it. Came out looking like some child and I just asked her about the recent attack on Fal down the road. Took my interrogation as a threat and.. well".

He also gave a description of the attacker, which goes as follows:

"Small, hooded, I can't be much more 'elp than that but she's got the Dawns golden sigil with her and a wound across her ribs, chest, area."

The injuries sustained have been treated on the spot by the woman who brought me there. A search of the nearby area returned nothing, likely the attacker could escape into a hideout in time.

I urge all watchers to keep a closer eye on people meeting the description, as vague as it is. Clearly the attacker has no qualms with attacking people on the open street, considering that this is already the second attack within a few days.

Signed,

Constable Penham Fletwood
