Quietly spoken, private, bashful in nature, yet a sound decision maker and negotiator, the young Captain has proved a popular choice since succeeding Newell.
Taala struggled at first to think of this man, whom she has enjoyed and shared so much with, as her superior, not because she does not think him capable, nor has there been a remarkable change in him since his promotion, rather that she holds him dear in her heart and would not wish to disappoint him.
Basaran never appears fully awake, nor sound asleep, his brow is often furrowed in thought. A quiet man, far more gifted and competent than he would give himself credit for.
Her Captain now, and Taala will honour and serve him just as she did her father, Hardoleth, and Hyrien and Newell before him.
