Again it has been some days since I wrote in this book, as if I need to collect my thoughts before I put them into writing.I'm sitting in Gondamon, at the top of the stairs, looking down over the entrance. It's at the crack of dawn and the first vendors have just arrived below me, I'm watching them setting up their stalls and placing their goods on the tables.I think I will try and draw the scene when I'm done writing this.
We have finally set off on our journey towards Kheledul and the ride here was quiet and uneventful.I had plenty of time to enjoy the scenery, the high mountains have a beauty about them, even though they look harsh.Snow seems to be ever falling here, even if it's mostly scattered flakes that slowly falls to the ground, amounting to nothing as the road was clear.
As I laid eyes on Gondamon I was taken aback by it's beautiful stonework.Set in the middle of nowhere it seemed.Every time I see the work of the dwarves, it amazes me.How do they manage this? These small men making these large buildings of that heavy stone.I've heard that they are strong and have great endurance, but still..
As we entered Gondamon we immediately set to work, trying to find what information we could gain on the area and Kheledul and the Dourhand Dwarves in particular. We had some success and gained some valuable information before we settled for the night, high up on a platform. The view from there is spectacular and far in the distance we can see what we believe to be Kheledul.
Rogue, Arthasdir and myself went to sleep, and Eredian took the first watch, keeping a close eye on us and the surroundings. As chilly as it was, I can't remember when I slept as good, my head resting upon Eredian's shoulder.
The next morning as I woke up, I was left by myself, the others seemed to have wandered off in the early morning hours. As I sat on the ledge looking out over the landscape, Eredian returned.Again we shared some nice conversation before Arthasdir joined us as well.
Arthasdir is such a jester! Always commenting on, and making fun of, the feelings that has started to develop between Eredian and myself. Granted, I believe he can take a jest back, and he will, believe me! I might not be as quick with my responses to him, but Eredian is, having a sharp and quick mind.
We were left alone for some time, Arthasdir went on another walk, and I have to admit that I enjoyed spending that time with Eredian. A comfortable stillness surrounded us as we just enjoyed standing in each others arms, no words necessary between us, the only interruption being a kiss or two, which I have to admit that I really enjoyed.
And now I sit here, thinking back on what has happened so far.My mind curious of what is to come, but also slightly uneasy of what we will find when we reach Kheledul. I do not believe it's anything good.
