"Not so fast, wait sister, wait!" running blindly passing one tree after the other. Armanduil saw little through the heavy mist. He ran jumping over tree roots and lose rocks, his feet barely touching the ground. The echoing song glided further through the dense forest, trailed by an elf chasing it desperately. The ground shook a moment and the song changed. The beautiful woman voice changed into a darker and heavier one, and the echoes grew deeper as if they were sang in a great empty hall. Red eyes filled the forest piercing at him, but Armanduil kept running. The darker song turned into whispers coming from every direction. Armanduil lowered his pace as a dreaded feeling was pressing in his chest. The surroundings grew darker, and the whispers grew louder, names were whispered but none of them struck him familiar. Armanduil stopped his chase as he was now completely disorientated and horrified by the darkness that was closing in on him. He drew his sword but knew it was of little use, wherever he looked the darkness was closing in "I fear no darkness!" he exclaimed. When the darkness and dread were about to claim him, a silverblue light appeared from the treetops, slowly descending.
The song he was chasing before returned slowly and dim at first. While the volume of the voice was increasing so was the light. The darkness slithered back over the forest floor. For a moment the light and the dark were a matching power struggling over one another. The beautiful melody and the sinister whispers were entwined. The song was being chased off further into the forest and Armanduil followed its light as fast as he could, followed by the whispering dark. He did not look back, the landscape changed and the forest was growing less dense, snow could be felt under his boots again. The darkness gained ground behind him like a warg gaining on his prey. The song was becoming much louder, he could nearly hear the actual words. Suddenly the voice reached a very high but beautiful chord, and the light seemed to explode in intensity. Armanduil was blown off his feet , rolling on the ground he lay still his right hand touched running water. The light had blinde him.
After a while, his eyes adjusted to his surroundings again, vague at first but the details slowly appeared again. He slowly stood up, and looked around, he found himself at a riverbank "The Bruinen?". He looked around but there was no trace of the dread he felt earlier, nor the light or song he was following. He could see clear again, and looked at the ground near his feet where a faint silverblue light caught his eye. He reached his hand to the light and got hold of a small pendant with a stone in it that was emitting the light. The light faded as he held the pendant in his hand. His heartbeat raised as he realized this pendant belonged to his sister.
