Priya closed the Kennel’s door after stepping inside in Seia’s trail. They had been discussing about a six year old girl, Lydea, they had met at Alekay’s place earlier. The child had just recently learnt she had probably lost both of her parents. She was such a heart breaking sight, crying and clinging onto Alex’s shirt. Priya had seemed grim while they had made their way back at the Kennel, pondering about the fate of the orphaned girl.
”You seemed to..get along well with the child,” Priya noted after hanging her cloak on the wall.
”I don’t think she liked me,” Seia replied.
”Well she was in shock, I doubt one likes anything in that state.”
”I think she liked you, at the very least she spoke to you,” Seia smiled at her.
”She spoke to you as well,” Priya replied quickly.
”Not very much. I had to press her more than you.”
”Perhaps you should look less intimidating,” Priya replied with a slight grin, patting the man’s shoulder.
”And how do I do that?” he asked, an amused smile creeping on his lips.
Priya leaned against the wall and eyed Seia’s features calmly for a moment.
”You could smile more. And perhaps you should wear that ugly woolly cap Gammer Puddlewhip gave me.” Priya’s smile widened as she imagined Seia wearing that particularly ugly cap. It would most certainly make him look less intimidating.
Seia glanced at her. ”I do not wear hats.”
”Why don’t you wear hats?”, Priya asked tilting her head, while eyeing him with arising curiosity.
Seia started to look around the room, searching for something to take Priya’s mind off the hat question. He found nothing.
”I don’t like them.”, he said.
”Why don’t you like them?”, Priya asked, the tone of her voice growing more and more curious.
Seia looked around again, clearly still searching for a way out. ”They - -…Itch my head. Yes.”
Priya slid along the wall closer towards him, giving him a skeptical look ”They itch your head?”
Seia sighed, realizing he couldn’t escape her. He looked at her face.
”I like to feel the sun on my head. It reminds me of Harad.”
