“My head looks like a garden!” she wailed at her reflection in the mirror. She spun the circlet this way and that until there were so many petals on the floor it looked as if she had hosted the wedding in her home. Then the damned thing snapped and fell to the floor, where it was promptly kicked away in frustration. Soon enough, she stole more flowers from a neighbours garden and remade the circlet again. Finally she lifted the hem of her dress and strapped a dagger to her thigh just as Foxwin knocked at the door. He looked very handsome dressed in his finary, but that man looked good to her whatever he wore, she barely gave him a moments peace when she was around him.

Taala riding to the wedding
They were amongst the last to arrive, the service was held at the bottom of the winding path that led to the river than ran underneath Trestlebridge, a beautiful waterfall as a backdrop. Anadryt and Rhianonn exchanged their vows and to those with a sentimental inclination they would have been said to have been lovely. Taala's attention wandered half way through the service, contemplating the possibility of persuading Foxwin to explore behind the waterfall with her. Her attention was brought back abruptly by a hard slap on her backside. She turned around ready to aim a deft punch at the face of the perpetrator, but it was Styrk s'porting a large grin... “Behave yourself” she hissed at him and turned back to the ceremony, a grin forming.
As the service was drawing to a close a faint sniffling could be heard. Taala thought it most peculiar someone would cry at a wedding, and whispered to Foxwin “Why do you suppose that lass is crying? Do you think she wants the groom herself?”.
Foxwin shrugged “shhhushh Taala”. Taala frowned, she did not appreciate being silenced.
Rick Cobb of all people was amongst the guests, she was surprised to see him because he was once a suitor of Rhianonn's and she knew from speaking with him how sad he was that Rhianonn had ended their courtship. He walked off as soon as the service ended, she felt obliged to follow him, though in truth she thought him a fool for coming. It was whilst comforting him that she heard a stern voice address her “I heard what you said, do not say such things again, do not be so mean!”. Taala looked into the face of a grim looking elf maiden.
“I do not know what you mean?” Taala responded, and she really did not.
“Oh yes you do, do not try and deny it!” The elf reaffirmed.
It went back and forth, until finally it was established the elf had taken umbrage to the comment Taala had made about her crying. It was an innocent enough observation, Taala protested, but the elf would not let the matter lie. What an odd way for an Eldar to behave, Taala thought privately Sensing things were getting a little heated Foxwin wandered over “Something the matter?”. Taala shook her head and turned to the elf her eyes darkening “move out of the way, or I will drowned you!”.
“Do not be so feisty” the elf complained.
“I was born feisty...now come let us enjoy this wedding” Taala offered a smile in an attempt to calm things, especially when she noticed Altheric had collapsed. Taala moved forward to assist but the elf barred her way, so she gave her a hefty shove. The elf laughed, but the laugh was short lived as Styrk strode forward and gave her ears a mighty tug and made some reference to her being a pointy ears. Some of the others moved closer. Styrk stood up for Taala “Do not speak badly of the red-head, she is worth ten of any of you” he stated meaningfully.
Anadryt strode over followed by Rhianonn and things went badly wrong. Styrk insulted Rhianonn, in fact Styrk insulted almost everyone. The men stood toe to toe a brawl was sure to unfold. Not too far away Martie Magpie was up to his antics, he had shown up uninvited, dressed as an old man and was causing mischief with some of the guests.
Taala dragged Styrk away, she was well aware of what he was capable of if enraged, she'd heard tell he had slaughtered a man once for snoring. This was a wedding, a special occasion and it was falling into chaos.
Styrk's calm was short lived, no sooner had Taala took him from the fray, than the Ranger Sigfread (Rogue) seemed to fall from the sky amidst them shouting profanities. Another argument ensued, Taala did not know how long she could keep Styrk calm it was not as if he would heed her words for long. Luckily Rougue walked away, not because he was afraid, but out of respect for the occasion. Taala sighed with relief, but it was not a good omen that Andoryt was striding towards them with purpose... SLAP! To her dismay, he slapped Styrk...
As Foxwin dragged her away most had left to attend the wedding feast... Styrk and Andoryt were sizing one another up, this would not end well. She felt some measure of guilt walking away, but Foxwin had been patient enough.

Foxwin & Taala at the Reception
Despite everything, Rhianonn and Anadyrt were wed and blissfully happy, she had not seen a man look upon a woman as lovingly and proudly as Anadyrt looked upon Rhianonn. She had always thought Rhianonn to be a sweet girl if a little odd, she had courted so many men and claimed to love them all and they all claimed to have loved her in return. Rhianonn was a beautiful young girl, innocent, a flower bursting to bloom, yet for her honour and to honour her father Gohan she refrained from all temptation and remained chaste. She had broken many hearts, her own included, for not all of her suitors had her patience.
As different as they were Taala looked at Rhianonn in her exquisite dress made of the finest white silk and she knew deep in her heart that no man would ever look at her that way...
((oocly note: - this is told through my character's perspective (not mine) and may not be accurate, and is in no way meant to offend anyone. I would like to say thank you to Rhianonn and Anadyrt for inviting my character to their wedding and allowing me to post this to their chronicle)).
