"A frog!" Eony exclaimed merrily, pointing at a man atop the stairs who seemed to be carrying a frog on his shoulder. She ran at him and patted the frog's head with her little finger. The man told her that the frog was called Gamble. At this point Eony's triplet sister Jesabelle walked over them, apologizing for her sister's odd behaviour, even though the man didn't seem to be bothered by Eony's sudden approach. "Ye need to mind yer manners." Jesabelle scolded her sister. Eony simply tilted her head and asked "Wha' is a manner?" The word was clearly unknown to her.
"Can I hold it?!" Eony asked placing her hands together and giving a beseeching look at the man with a bright smile on her face, her eyes shining like two suns. The man agreed, after which Eony gently picked up the frog and placed it over her head. "Now he can see bette'!", she exclaimed merrily.
Suddenly she made a long leap backwards, down the stairs, landing in front of the stairs
in an agile fashion, keeping her head upright so Gamble wouldn't fall. She started to loudly hum a jolly melody and hop around the main room, spinning around on her one leg now and then, her dress swirling around her. Jesabelle and the man, who remained at the stairs, seemed to be discussing something. She waved at them in a child-like manner, before starting to spin around like a whirlwind, letting her dress fly. Gamble seemed to enjoy it, as he didn't leap away from atop of her head, or perhaps the frog had already fainted at this point.
