Herbalists journal #5: Farmers faire

The start of the harvest season is the best time to restock my inventory.  The farmers faire of Bywater is one of the best markets to get specific medicinal herbs for a bargain. I checked my stock carefully before I left and I should restock:

* Willow bark for my Pain Taker Draughts

* Lily of the valley for my Snaga Suffocating Liquid

Goat weed for my Depression Dousing Draught

Willow Bark was easily found, master Gamgee has a mighty fine willow standing near a river. We agreed that if I catch for him five fresh Bywater trouts from the river, I can take a bag full of bark from his willow. Easier said than done, after half a day I managed to get the fish together, with great help of fisherman named Master Bolger.

A  stop at the Herbal Market of master Hornblower was all I needed now. Master Hornblower is quite a tough halfling to haggle with, he must have spend a lot of time with dwarrows to gain such a haggle skill. The deal was nearly off, but we agreed that I take 5 bundles of goat weed and 10 bundles of lily of the valley in return for a barrel of homebrewn blueberry ale and five bundles of Spiky Milkthistle.

That concludes my business with the halflings for now.
