((OOC note: I saw Frithswith's post and I liked the idea so much I had to do one for Rannie))
Rannie sat on the stone bench of Wil’s gazebo in the apple orchard, enjoying the quiet morning, nursing on one of the bottles of rum he’d gotten for her as she rubbed her shoulder where the bite mark was. She sighed and shook her head wondering what she had gotten herself into this time when all of the sudden a she heard something on the steps of the gazebo. She nearly dropped the bottle as she looked over towards the steps.
A rabbit came hoping up the steps and towards her at a determined pace. If it hadn’t been for the piece of parchment it held dearly Rannie would have questioned the rum she had been drinking, possibly even swear off alcohol. The brown ball of fluff stopped before her, gazing up at her with what Rannie swore was impatience to be free of it’s burden. She took a large drink of her rum with a shake of her head. “Can’t those darn long ears do anything normal like,” she mumbled as she took the piece of parchment.
With a twitch of it’s pink nose in her direction the rabbit dashed off to where ever it came from. Rannie took another drink of her rum and mumbled some more about the eccentricities of elves before unfolding the note and reading it. Slowly she read it, much like a small child would- her finger passing under each word that she clumsily spoke aloud-and then reread it again to make sure she fully understood it’s message.
Finishing off the bottle, Rannie stood with a nod. “Well looks like I may have some more work to do” she spoke to no one in particular and set off towards Arrowhaven to see what would be so urgent that the boss lady had demanded she come as soon as possible.
