Introduction

Talan Reeger is a Kinship that hails from the Golden Wood of Lothlórien. Talan Reeger is one of the flets located along the border of the Anduin, chosen from the elves that dwell within Caras Galadhon and those trusted among the Galadhrim. Led by Hir Reeger, under the command of Marchwarden Haldir, they primarily guard the borders of Lothlorien. With permission from the Lady, they often venture beyond the Golden Wood as well, ever trying to strengthen the alliance with the Malledhrim, the Elves of Rivendell or their cousins of the Woodland Realm. Many of us fight alongside the Malledhrim in Mirkwood, launching attacks against the stronghold of Dol Guldur. Others strengthen the Galadhrim in their efforts to safekeep Lorien, while maintaining a healthy community. 

We are an elf-only kinship, but all classes are welcome as long as your background remains in line with the kin's goal. We aim to have enjoyable and immersive role play with our characters, not only centered around the protection of Lothlorien, but also to strengthen the bonds of elves beyond the borders of the Golden Wood. To join we but ask you to fit in or get entwined with us and your own story, we hold no real initiations, we primarily like to RP the engagement so that all pieces fall together.

Origin

In T.A. 2941, Gandalf got troubled by Sauron's renewed presence and gathered the White Council, arguing an attack on Dol Guldur was inevitable and necessary for the security of Middle-Earth. While a hollow victory was achieved not soon after Erebor got reclaimed, Dol Guldur was soon reoccupied by one of Sauron's nazgûl.

As word came of the Dwarves returning to Moria and Sauron's strength growing in Dol Guldur, the Lord and Lady saw fit to strengthen the protection of the borders of Lothlórien. Thus, a Talan was gifted to a young elf, Reeger, who was given command of this flet along the Anduin. Under this promising marksman and honourable leader were given two huntresses, Tauviel and Adanmiel. Talan Reeger was very successful in its defense along the river. Hir Reeger, however, returned to the Lord and Lady asking their permission to venture beyond the Golden Wood for he saw aid was needed beyond the borders for the security and sake of all Elven kinds and Middle-Earth.

In this time, many of the Galadhrim under Talan Reeger are often seen riding in Eriador and Rhovanian under the banner of the Lady, specifically in Southern Mirkwood, aiding the elves in pushing back the advances of the orcs of Dol Guldur.

Reeger

The leader of the Kin (Tur) is currently Reeger, by trade a hunter. He is the spokesman for all official matters that involve the Talan. Under Reeger are two Officers (Caun), these elven ladies are Tauviel and Adanmiel. Together they uphold the day to day leadership.
