Corner of the hunted

Cynraede sat in the cave, staring at the dimly lit entrance. He grasped his ribs as he inhaled deeply, the pain shooting through his body. He raised his head as he heard the sound of boots on stone echoing through the cave, he hid the rock behind him as he repositioned himself.

"Greetings, hunter of the dark. I figured you would find this place rather homely, the darkness and all. Oooh, tisk tisk. Do forgive me, I forgot you're home lies elsewhere. Not that you could ever go and gaze upon its beauty again.. Fear not, you will rejoin your family in due time."

The hunter smiled and looked down to the damp ground, shaking his head. He looked up at the man with furl brows, smiling widely through bleeding lips.

"Tell me east man why there is fear in your eyes when you look upon me? Is it because you have come to the realization that you will finally join your brothers in the depths of darkness? Where no light will ever touch your souls again, no matter how long they scream for its warm embrace. Even now you are afraid to touch me, lest you be bested by one far ahead of you."

Cynraede smiled as he looked up to Yilgtig, the stone laying at his back and ready for him to grab at a moments notice. The east  man knelt down and placed a firm boot on his already sore chest, grinning as he watched the young hunter squirm from the pain. Yilgtig opened his mouth to say something, but before he could speak he was met with a stone to across his face.

Yilgtig stumbled backwards, not expecting the assault from the man whom sat wearily in the corner, now grinning from ear to ear. The olive skinned man shook his head, wiping the blood from his face. He stood his ground, yet regained his posture and taunted Cynraede with a forced smile.

"I wonder what will happen with the Rat? She seems a nice young woman, very pretty. I noticed the black foot, I expected you to do better. She seemed rather happy to see me, perhaps I should pay her another visit."

Yilgtig tilted his head and smiled, loosing his wickedly filed teeth. He knew as he stood taunted the young hunter he could pull him in to his trap. He repositioned himself, standing upright and laughing.

"Even the pale maiden whom you escorted. None is safe from the darkness, it will destroy all whom apposes it and leave a wake of brimstone and death. You should give up now and let the end come swiftly, for days now no one has yet to look for you. Even if  they did find us, we out number them vastly."

Cynraede lifted his head and spat blood at his feet, looking up to him with a smile and a firm nod. He stood and struggled to keep himself upright, slowly making his way to Yilgtig and seemingly harmless.

"This is true, though I swear  to you on the lives of your fathers, when the time comes you will. It is important about not loosing focus, keeping your eyes everywhere at all times."

Cynraede stood, smiling widely as he stood face to face with the the man whom kept him prisoner. He laughed, and shook his head as he spoke loudly in hopes it would echo out the cave.

"I would steer clear of those people if you valued your life, the Order, iIt would be humiliating to fail at the largest task you've been given yet. Fear not, you will not live to see the others because you end soon, so savor it."

Cyn turned and stat down in his corner, staring at him quietly as he huddled the cave. Shaking his head as he leaned over. He tilted his head slightly and smiled, waving sarcastically. He curled up and tried to do his best to rest.
