A wonderful start on the week! Although... A moment of disappointment shadowed my day a bit, but it all ended well. During the day I was preparing for our musical assignment later that evening. Lord Loor had hired us as entertainment for his birthday in Dullond. A real Sire have hired the Shades for a musical entertainment. I felt so honored.
My friend Lithia met me outside the Elven gates in Falathlorn and we were discussing what kind of music we should play suitable for a birthday to an Elven Lord. Should we play cheerful melodies? or solemn ones? It was somewhat difficult to decide. We were also waiting at Eovina I decided to wait at her outside the gates, while Lithia went to Loor's house in Dullond to see if he were there and perhaps ask him what kind of music he would prefer. After a while Lithia came back and she said that there was no one at his house. He was not there at all. I started to feel a bit worried. At the same time a bit disappointed too.Because I was looking so forward to this event. A few guests that also were there came to meet us. They did not quite understand what happened either. So at that time I did not know what to do. After a while Lady Eovina came and we decided to ride back to Bree a long journey home and I could not help feel a bit empty and a I felt a bit down. Lady Lithia tried to cheer us up with some songs in Sindarin and that surely made me happier. The journey did not seem so long. To talk with two elven Ladies really make the hours shorter and the road did not seem to long either.
We went to Combe for supplies and outside the Inn some folks were preparing for a Market! Salesmen, Crafters and Flowergirls were preparing their stands. Lithia asked me. 'Why don't we play some music here?' I was not quite sure. I was not quite in mood for it, especially not after what happened earlier. Poor Lithia was doing everything to cheer me up, but then I heard a voice behind me. "A good idea!!" And I turned around. It was Kosei and he was bringing his Lute and I was not that hard to convince then. There is a Large Tree in the middle of the area outside the Inn,so we decided to start playing there. I hoped not to disturb the Salespersons but it seemed we were very much welcome and before we knew it was gathered a large crowd in front of us, sitting on the grass and listened to us. At that moment I felt happy again. We played quite a few songs and then a certain Lady came. I think she is Major of Bree I am not sure, because there was so many people that started talk to her, bowed at her of respect. It seems her name was Lady Faya and she was a kind Lady indeed. She gave us kind words and drinks afterwards and even more people came and the place was packed. I think the Salesmen had a very good day and the atmosphere was just lovely. We ended our session with the song My Lullaby. That is a goodnight song. So it all ended well..
