History of House Dorghat of Gondor

The Founding

The year of 3429 in the Second Age a man named Theringhor Dorghat were stationed in the guard of Amon Sûl also known as Weathertop. He was no special man, just an ordinary guard there. He had a wife named Isin, they had two sons. Elhard being the oldest and Khard being the youngest. Both sons were guards there as well and they lives there. They were a soldier family of Arnor. It was the same year as Sauron took Minas Ithil from Arnor. It was grim times and war with Sauron and his forces. When the news came to Amon Sûl about the fall of Minas Ithil, fear struck trough the guards. Theringhor and his sons were not feared as they believed that Arnor and Gondor could stand against Sauron.

In the year of 3434 in the Second Age the Battle of Dagorlad occurred. Theringor and his sons were in the battle fighting against Saurons army on the open plain between the Dead Marshes and Cirith Gorgor. Khard was slain by one orc and Theringhor slaid the same orc. Theringhor and his last son had been loyal in battle and fought great so Theringhor was rewarded to build up his own Noble House in Arnor. He gladly accepted this reward and the Noble House Dorghat saw it's first light. It was founded in the city of Annúminas, the great capital by that time of Arnor.

War with Angmar

In the year of 1409 of the Third Age, House Dorghat was now located in Fornost, the new great capital of Arnor. A new war have started, now it was the forces of Angmar with the Witch King leading them against Arnor. The new Lord of House Dorghat was named Greghori Dorghat. His wife was named Aúili and they had one son and one daughter. The son, being the youngest, was named Eiró and the daughter being the oldest were named Frigh. Frigh was going to get married to another Noble of House Hórnth, the one that was marrying her was named Jhirtho.

Greghori was the leader of one force in the war. They were many times in battle against Angmars forces. Angmar attacked and took Amon Sûl. Greghori was with his force at Amon Sûl by the time of the attack. They managed tostrike back Angmar a bit but Amon Sûl fell anyway. In the midst of battle Greghori took the Palantir and they fled, heading for Fornost. King Arveleg I was slain in the battle and his son Araphor became the new King. Many battles were fought under the times of Greghori and Eiró Dorghat.

Gondorians

Eiró had moved to the lands of Gondor when the war with Angmar were. There the new House Dorghat started as when Arnor fell, the House being there fell. Year 1944 in the Third Age, the now living Lord of House Dorghat is named Elhard II Dorghat. His wife is named Lanthia, they got one son and two daughters.
