''It all happened so fast. We were only just back from our trip to Bearn's house and all of a sudden she tells me to grab and snatch that woman.
But eventually, why? Why did we do it? She of course had something in her possession that was not hers, and with what we did we got it back, or so we hope. But will there be a cost? She threatened to retaliate several times, but I took them lightly.
I had to be stern, and perhaps I even had to step off the road I walk on. I never want to do wrong, not to anyone, though Justine wasn't going to do it, she's far to young, and kind hearted to do that. So I had to make Amae sure she was not going to get out of this unscathed if we did not get what we asked of her.
I felt a certain kind of pain, or sadness, when I dragged her around like she was some sort of a puppet. When I had to kick her, I didn't need to hold myself back, as I couldn't ever bring myself to really hurt her, not for who she is, but I don't think she asked for the behavior she shows, it must be the crown...
After a while she finally snapped. She started ranting out so many words, it was hard to keep up. Though she eventually gave away the hiding place of the 'crown'. How we should've figured it was that close.
Justine went to retrieve the 'crown', and I was left to guard her in that awful tomb. It gave me the creeps just sitting there.
Justine arrived back with the news she found it, and disposed of it immediately. I untied Amae and on we went, were we sure it was the right crown? No, could we ever? Justine hid it somewhere, I did not ask where as I would not want to lay eyes on that thing.
It's dark outside, I once more survived a day here in Bree. I felt awful telling Justine I was going to leave someday, after I told her the message I brought from Bearn, she went rather hostile. She tried to explain, and I tried so hard defending Bearn, though what did it matter, Justine was right.
How am I going to bring the message to Cendryth, he'll probably skin me alive.''
