Shortly Before Thendryt Departs from Rivendell

The Hall of Fire glowed with its usual soft light, elves scattered across the area in small social groups as normally seen. Faorie gazed searchingly around the hall until she found the one she sought – Elisbeth. Straightening herself, she confidently took the steps forward needed to stand beside the lady and leader of the Warband.

Alongside Elisbeth were Khalis, Captain of the Warband, Nelnardis, a strong hunter, and one other elf maiden she had never met before. Although Faorie would normally introduce herself or politely stand within company of the others, there was a matter that required her immediate attention.

The group gestured their welcomes to Faorie, to which she responded to appropriately. “Suilad,” she said softly.

Nelnardis hailed her before returning her attention back to the unknown company.

Khalis mirrored her and turned to continue his conversation with the elf. “Not perhaps a man with the second name of Bloodrose?”

Faorie limited the distance between herself and Elisbeth, leaning herself over to whisper.

Naturally, Elisbeth noted the closeness and understood what Faorie intended. She expressed her focus to her.

“Lady Elisbeth,” Faorie began, “I have just seen Thendryt preparing himself to leave the vale.” She paused, considering her wording. “Shall I accompany him?” She turned her gaze to meet Elisbeth's, as if she were unsure of what her response would be.

No hesitations were shown, for Elisbeth's simple nod was enough to encourage Faorie.

She nodded once in return.

“Apparently you were to shadow him?” Elisbeth spoke in a gentle yet serious tone. “It was something Khalis had mentioned to me.”

Unaware, Khalis continued his conversation with the elf. “I met a man in Imladris by that family name but yesterday.” Nelnardis also seemed to have her attention away from the two.

“Be discreet.”

“Yes,” Faorie assured, “I will not be seen, by any means.” She lowered her gaze to look about, making certain to herself that no others were focusing on their conversation. “I will report to you should something go wrong.”

Elisbeth nodded and smiled approvingly. Quietly, she added, “Be wary if you travel through the lands of men. Seek aid from Aeradin and Killandra if need be.”

Faorie inclined her head. “Of course, my lady.” Taking a few steps back, she bowed deeply before Elisbeth and began to make her ways to the doors exiting the Hall of Fire. Before making her way out, she managed to hear Elisbeth wish her safe travels.

Faorie makes her way up to the Gates of Imladris.
