Outward Appearance

Tall, proud, noble, fair and strong are the words which I shall use to describe him. Yet there is more: His way-worn cloak is worn half over his left shoulder, concealing his left arm for the most part when he wanders. With him he carries a long sword of which's hilt seldom parts from his hand, he oft uses the tip of the sheath as a walking stick.

He speaks clear and holds stubbornly upon his intent, when his mind has been set it is difficult to sway his course. Yet his decisions are oft well-though through and he would seek counsel of others when he finds need.

Background

"The Wargs and the Goblins helped one another in wicked deeds. Goblins do not usually venture very far from the their mountains, unless they are driven out and looking for new homes, or are marching to war (which I am glad to say has not happened for a long while). But in those days they sometimes used to go on raids, especially to get food or slaves to work for them. Then they often got the wargs to help and shared the plunder with them." - J.R.R Tolkien.

Within the eves of Mirkwood Ari had built a hall with the wood of nearby trees and within that hall he and his wife took residence, for she was now with a child for six months. Yet his construction had not gone unspoken. For he would often boast amongst other woodsmen of the plans that he had for his family and how he wished to have a strong heir. In the coming months more folk gathered to the hall and a village was built. This they named Arisvidur, and Ari had been accounted as the chief of their village. His son was born and for a long time they were a merry and hearty folk, his son had grown to what he had wished and in those times they had little troubles of goblins and wolves, and they became a healthy folk, living on what the wood could offer them. Now his son he named Kirstjan, and Kristjan grew quickly as the years passed. He was Ari's heir and would be chief once Ari had died. Kristjan had a beautiful wife Ingimar and two children. A son who was named Hannes and a daughter named Freyja.

He was happy with the life his father had given him and so were the folk of Arisvidur and they held Ari's family highly, for they ruled the folk of their little village with a kind and willing heart. Ever doing what they may to grant their wishes. Very few of them were warriors, most men could wield a bow for they delighted in hunting (and woodwork) and beasts provided many things for them. Ari knew that the wood could sometimes be dangerous, and he knew how to wield a sword. This he taught to his son, not of fear for anything that lurks in the woods but because he wished to see his son resemble much of himself. They had turned a blind-eye towards any threats of beasts and goblins, for it was seldom when they had troubles with them...

This proved to be their bane, for soon a time came when the goblins had discovered their home and upon one cold night the screams of villages were heard loud as they were slaughtered coldly by goblins and wolves, Ari and Kristjan took up their swords and stormed to the aid of the aid of their folk. But the battle was in vain, for there were too plenty goblins for two men to slay alone. Thus Ari bid his son and his family to flee, Kristjan would not gainsay his father but by the time he had sought for his family they were all slaughtered and lied upon the floor dead. Then Kristjan was grieved, but his fathers instructions remained in his heart and mind, so he fled as far as his legs would carry him....

OOC:

Work still very much in progress. Several points may be changed.
