Outward Appearance

Her skin is very pale, as if never touched by the sun's rays and her eyes are dark as night, being a shade of grey-black. Though her hair was once dark, it was turned pure ice-white in an insane and dark ritual which she attempted in the Barrow Downs. It utterly failed and the result was the death of all life with a half mile radius of her, including her nails and hair, which now do not grow unless she is in the presence of the Dead.

(Sometimes it will be dyed black, however, her eyebrows are always stark white)

A taciturn, hateful young Woman who almost always looks pained and cold, her face reveals experience well beyond her years. She also prefers to walk about at night rather than under the light of the Sun. In the light of day, her eyes are squinted in rage and pain and her sneering grimace retreated behind the shadow of her hood. Three, coloured brands/tattoos are visible underneath her collarbone: The Great Eye, the Iron Crown and the head of a wolf baring it's teeth (the emblem of Morgaur and Dakmos). When she speaks, it isn't Gondorian, Rohirric, Dale-ish or Breelander, but a foreign accent of Nan Gurth, Angmar, the land of her birth. Her body is gaunt, thin and bony, but not necessarily unhealthy.

As her mind leans toward masochism and insanity as a result of her confusion due the pain of much torture and love losses, she is sometimes seen scratching herself with her long, sharp, black nails or muttering dark poems and songs in Vor-gha, her native dialect of Black Speech. Recently, she has also developed a strange obsession with eyes and children. The simple folk of Breeland would do well to keep their houses locked at night...

Background

Even though her insanity is slowing healing, and her mind is in the process of recovering, she retains an addiction and obsession with pain and physical self-hurt, though she has sworn to Aerenn that she will never kill herself. Her greatest fear is that Aerenn, even after all she has done for him, will leave her and she will fade into the shadows of both his life and her own.

Gwynedh was born as a farm-slave in the Wastelands of Nan Gurth in Angmar, her father being a favoured priest under the brothers High Priest Dakmos and Warlord Morgaur of Nan Gurth under Mordirith. She worked the lands with her people for much of her life until she was 16, when her father's great power was brought to the attention of Morgaur and Dakmos. Dakmos took her to be one of his personal slaves and become educated in the ways of the Dark Power. As her training continued and her Power flourished, so did the growth of jealousy amongst the servants of Dakmos. One of his lesser priests, envied the power of Serpent's Tongue, as her father was known, and his daughter. Knowing he could do no harm to her father without incurring the great wrath of Dakmos, he kidnapped Gwynedh with him on one of his errands outside of Angmar instead, to hurt her father's reputation and worth. The priest and his men stopped in Bree, where Gwynedh was rescued by Aerenn, and where she remains to this day, at least for now.

While in Bree, Gwyn met many of the local folk, though she frequently found herself aligned with the criminal underworld: The Guild of Shadows, The Order of Shadows, and other assassin groups. The rivalry between Daerusc of the Order, and Aerenn, formerly of the Guild, formed the roots of insanity in her mind long before she rejoined Evil. She loved both, but quickly learned that she was no longer living in Angmar, and now... she would have to choose.

Her growing insanity and thoughts of suicide turned her into the ideal prey to groups of local Evil, and soon she joined Angmar's Shadow in an effort to bring some stability and familiarity to her confused mind.

After several months of serving Saxris and his wight-reincarnation Angash, a member of Angmar's Shadow, and facing torture of the most cruel kind at the hands of both this group and her enemies, Ashnell and Kayara, Gwyn's body and mind is covered in burns and scars though she walks always fully covered and hooded so none can see.

The most significant moment in her life occurred the day she risked her life for Aerenn's by begging the Blood Lord, Morthalic, to release him from the Slave-Pens of Carn Dum, and when he did not, defying his will and bringing her lover back to Bree-land. After seeing Aerenn face horrific torture at the hands of Angmar and near-death at the hands of Gerwolf, Emion and several others of that House, she strove with her every waking breath to keep him safe and love him, even if he had forgotten why.

After she had lost a third unborn child to the knife of Angash, and seen it's mangled mass expel from her body, and no sign of Aerenn or his love, she had begun to doubt, and fell deeper into darkness. Upon being found by a man of Rhun, Warlord Magaeus and his Raikaviri, she rejoined Evil in her search to find a purpose and escape her eternal suffering.

Recently, her hope has been restored by Aerenn and a few other newly-made friends, and though both of them have much work to do in the process of healing the hurts of the past, Gwynedh has finally been relieved from at least some of her pain, and some of her insanity.
