Continued from the previous entry.
A few days passed. Dreothorn would come and go, doing whatever he does. Meanwhile, I was getting more and more claustrophobic. I wanted to get out bad. I'd pace around my room, thinking of a way out. I'd sometimes get depressed, and spend my time looking at the fire in the chimney. On a day like that, he came in with a bucket of water and put out the fire. I looked up angrily at him. ''You'll go blind if you look at it for too long.'' He explained. As if he cared. A day or two later, he was sleeping on a chair across the main room's hall. I was desperate to get out. I snuck up to the door and searched the door for any way to unlock it. There was a lock above the door. An easy mechanism, I just needed to lift it. There was only one problem. I was too short. It was meant for somebody at least 6 feet tall, and that person would have to go on tip-toe to get it. Of course it meant no problem for Dreothorn, he was a giant, about 6'4 feet. I gave up trying to pick the door. Finally, one day, I gave up. I walked out my room. He was sitting on a chair across from me. ''Ready to talk?'' He asked. I swear, that man could read my mind. ''Yes.'' I said halfheartedly. ''Sit.'' He ordered, nodding to the bench beside his chair. I came and sat beside him. ''I'm not going to say everything.'' I said right away. ''Go on then.'' I looked at him for a second, and a memory from our fight came back. Before strangling me, his hood had fallen off, and I got sight of his face. A huge scar ran across it, but that wasn't the shocking part. Half his face was gravely burned, from a few years back. A split-second later, his eyes had filled with anger, realizing what I had seen. ''The first time I met him, he had tricked me to go to his house.'' I felt so stupid, thinking back about it. ''He had tried to, well, you know...'' ''Rape?'' ''Uhh, yeah. I fought back. He ran away, locked the door to the house and set fire to it. Obviously, I managed to get away. Before the fight though, I got to see his face. He had blond hair to his shoulders. He either had blue or green eyes, I don't remember.'' ''Continue.'' He said when I had paused. It was hard for me to say all this. The sudden rushes of memory weren't helping. ''I had gotten friends to help me when I reached the Prancing Pony. They caught him in the back of the inn, while I was resting. I went up to see them, and I was given a chance to kill him, but I could not do it. I went back to rest, but he had managed to get away from the others. He also got a friend with him, I don't know how. He came in my room and threw a sleeping dart at me. They brought me to this fort south of Bree. They tied me and when I woke up, they demanded money that I apparently owed to... a man. I do not remember his name. They threatened to kill me if I did not pay. I played for time, hoping my friends would come, and they did. After that incident, he disappeared, and I never heard of him again.''To be continued...
