" Le nathlam hí" , "Welcome to Imladris!" and "Mae govannen!" is how we were greeted by Elves of Rivendell. I understand almost nothing of their words but they are generous towards us, and cordial. So I believe we are safe now.
It is an astonishing place, Rivendell, lots of beautiful trees and the buildings are very different when compared the burrows of the Shire or the houses of Bree. These houses have red roofs and they're very fancy, ornamental, I would say. It is hard to describe really, just amazing and as beautiful as its folk. The valley itself is colorful and serene with its waterfalls, bridges and river, the buildings and the vegetation -- there is much to be seen and I have not even started yet, I am only telling what I saw as my weary feet carried me to the Last Homely House. It is the home of lord Elrond (it appears he is a mighty Elf lord) who kindly let us have our own rooms inside his house, he and his people fed us (we feasted for hours: apple juice, goat cheese, wine, vegetables, mutton, fruit ... I can not even remember it all but I was not left hungry).

Halls of Fire is the name of the dining room.
And the Elves have trees indoors too! Honestly! I wonder how they can keep places so clean and have trees growing inside the house at the same time. The trees were not even in huge plant pots but there were small splotches of ground in the middle of the room and there the trees grew freely. I saw also many many lanterns with purplish color and not yellow, and statues that were of Elven folk, some ladies and lords. Could I smuggle one to the Shire? Would look good in my garden. If only I had a large beast of burden.

After the banquet Amorey spoke with some Elf and they showed me my room where I went to rest and take a bath. It indeed was not hobbit-sized because even the bed was so LARGE that we all (Amey, Tahitoa, Bennidict and Tukko and I) could have slept in it. Fortunately not though because I am not sure at all that I'd like to share these lovely pillows and the blanket with anyone. I hope to see more Elves and more Rivendell, we have time to explore it, Amey told me we will stay for a week or so but nothing is certain.

I miss Silas.
