Note to reader, dates have been removed in order with current standards as of the Rule of Denethor II, Steward of Gondor at the time of writing.
This is the first entry into my journal since capture by tribesmen in the region known as Enedwaith, I was rescued by a party of scouting Rohirrim riders whom i managed to convince that i was in fact an explorer from the westfold come to learn of dwarf lore in the mountains here. They gave me supplies and escorted me to the great north road where i made to return to Rivendell and assure the Warband, who i am still working with without intention of leaving in the near future, that i was not harmed.
Reached Rivendell and met briefly with the Warband who were engaged in a meeting under master Tagos discussing how to deal with forces of the enemy in the region known as Sarnur in Ered Luin. I told them of news from the Mark and assured them of my safety, however warning of the gather threat of Dunland. I then rested in Rivendell for a few days before making my way back to Bree.
Back in Bree learnt of recent news and minor gossiping from patrons of the inn. Meaningful discussion with a fellow Gondorian in the Warband Angelnarth about the current politics of the state, he was less than positive about our lord Steward's rule and though i attempted to persuade him otherwise he seemed direly against us even going so far as to suggest if one of the raggard Dunedan attempted to flasely claim the throne he would support him in civil war. In more positive news i met a man known as Arasarn who previously served with the sixth company in the southern campaigns and in Osgiliath, i know little of his main reason of living in the north but he seemed a true and loyal subject by my own reckoning, i will aid him and be in contact in future.
Still in Bree. Worrying amount of Gondorian exiles with less than gracious views about the current state of our kingdom. I have made a contact who i believe may be able to help me in finding a solution to these traitors in waiting, one in particular. It is my hope that these solutions will be peaceful given my involvement with certain bodies and there members, however rest assured my first duty will always be to Lord Denethor, no matter how dark an action may appear i think always of the future for our country and in these times when we are beset on all sides we must always trust in Gondor's rule above all other allies.
Signed Captain Pelaphor, faithful servant of the tower.
