Letter to Manadhlaer from Merenellon,

My dear Lady,
I hope this letter finds you well.
Yesterday we had the most exciting class by Earcalie and Tolmen on self-defence. I thought it would be something more like defending yourself from drunk men (who, lamentably, appear more often in the Hall of Fire somehow), but it turned out to be almost actual fighting with real swords. Your humble servant performed well until I received an orc skull directly into mine, thrown by Tolmen (you can imagine the force) that left me incapacitated for the rest of the day. I’m still recovering at Tham Send and may miss a few days of duty.
All that has happened, made me think if I may be needed in our next expedition. And if I really can make it, alive and not being much of liability as Earcalie says (though she said it about Maedhrathin). I’m always ready to serve Our House the best I can, but it seems my best is not in the expeditions. I would like to hear your thoughts on that matter. You can find me anytime for the next few days at Tham Send and, later, at my home.
