Pain, grief and sorrow around the fire

Aeruthuil stares in to the fire as he hears the faint sounds of voices, crying and groaning. He chews his lip as he tries to ignore it all although it would prove to be a harder task than he imagined. He closes his eyes in another desperate attempt to ignore what was going on and what had happened but within seconds he opens them again at the sound of Calardor's voice. He blinks as he looks around the camp with a grin before it faints..

'Cal wasn't here anymore and he would never come back.'

Aeruthuil clenches his jaw as a tear escapes his eye, shaking his head vigorously at the thoughts. It was his fault, all his fault that Calardor had died. They may say it wasn't, but he knows it was. If it wasn't for him at least minding his own back, Cal would not have needed to do it for him. Cal would not have died if he had been more careful.

He looks around, staring over towards Brywulf for a moment, the man had gotten cut waist up towards his shoulder. He chews his lip but was sure the man was going to be alright. He then looks over towards the sheltered area, Forchuil was badly injured but luckily he was going to make albeit a slow recovery, luckily Forvad had been quick to react. The women seemed fine enough, luckily most of the others had gone out to hunt and scout when it happened, it could have been a whole lot worse.

Aeruthuil shifts slightly, the cut on his side stinging but it didn't hurt as much, his thoughts were somewhere else..
He turns his gaze back towards the fire, holding Calardor's silver brooch, the silver star, clenched in his hand. He moves his hand closer to his face as he closes his eyes, whispering, ''I wish you were here''. He relaxes his hand as he rests it in his lap, looking over towards Laayla. She tried all she could have to save his best friend, had gotten hurt from it too. 'Also his fault' Aeruthuil thought to himself.

He pulls his hood further over his head as tears stream like rivers down his face, staring in to the fire.

He would never forgive himself.
