Background
" />
Theylwe was born in Lindon as one of the Noldor. His parents were proud and they came from a long line of warriors. In turn, he would be raised and brought up in the martial ways. Theylwe inherited his family traits of haughtiness and excessive pride. These attributes caused him to receive strife and spite from others of his kind. He trained and honed his abilities to its zenith before moving away from Lindon and traveling the lands dreamt from his childhood. Theylwe often traveled to other elven strongholds such as Mirkwood and Lothlorien, serving as a vigil of the lands. After many years, Theylwe returned to Lindon, only to find that his parents had sailed to the West.
While on a patrol outside Thranduil's realm in Mirkwood, Theylwe and a group of ellon were ambushed by a large force of orcs. Most of the patrol was slaughtered within the following minutes, leaving Theylwe and a select few were captured and bound. They were brought to a covert network of caves where they were tied up and tortured for nearly two moons. By this time, all of the remaining elves of the patrol had succumbed to the sadism of the orcs save Theylwe. Only the obstinate strength and hope kept him alive through the sheer pain of his torture.
At long last, a group of march wardens came to the rescue of Theylwe after following the trails of the orcs for many days and they sent the orcs into a full retreat. The orcs left Theylwe without a thought and the march wardens found him still bound and with his head bowed, weeping. The elves brought him back to Thranduil's settlement and there they nourished him and nursed him back to health. Despite the pain gone, the scars left Theylwe traumatized. He no longer lived upon the adrenaline of battle and he began to have disdain for weapons altogether. He no longer wanted to be a warrior.
Theylwe left Mirkwood a year later with disparity of his mind. He was no longer what he was before; no longer the haughty, proud ellon. He left to find himself among nature and to travel once more, but farther than he ever did before. Among the plains, forests, and shores would he become he truly was meant to be. This journey was taken in solitude with only the company of his tomes. For half a century did Theylwe embark upon this sojourn and he traipsed into far lands. Theylwe returned from his journey almost fully formed, but there was still a part of him missing. After a short homecoming to Lindon, he set off again, but this time he went without the need for isolation.
